YMMV Tropes
Talk0this wiki
Redirected from Subjective Tropes
These tropes are what TV Tropes calls "subjective" or "Your Mileage May Vary" tropes. These tropes are considered opinionated and biased, at least by them, and to some extent, we see their point.
However, some tropes in this category were sent to their own page on the "Darth Wiki" to highlight their negativity, which is inaccurate. In fact, to quote George Carlin regarding word context: 'They're only words.'
In short, Tropes Are Not Bad or inherently in and of themselves, it is how they are applied.
We do acknowledge tropes can be partisan or opinionated, so it is site policy not to trope with malice or do so in an offensive manner, and if the subjective trope is applied in universe, we ask this stated in the description next to the trope so other tropers can tell if it's an external or in universe opinion.
By default, YMMV Tropes should go on YMMV subpages for works article unless they are invoked in universe.
